Making your own deodorant with natural ingredients is easier than you might think! I’ve been doing it for nearly a decade, and I’ve never looked back. My entire family uses it now, and my husband keeps insisting I should sell it.
Instead, I’d rather share the recipe so you can enjoy it too!
It’s incredibly simple—I hope you give it a try. Here’s what you’ll need:
Equipment:
A container for mixing
A spoon
Measuring cups (1/4 cup and 1/3 cup)
A 1-tablespoon measuring spoon
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup coconut oil (warmed)
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup arrowroot flour
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients together until smooth. If you'd like a larger batch, simply double the quantities.
I usually make enough to last about three months. I keep a small portion in a container that fits my wax burner for daily use, while the rest goes into a glass jar stored in a cool place.
Give it a try—I think you’ll love it as much as we do!
Helpful Tips:
✅ Avoid White Residue – Ensure your deodorant is warm with enough coconut oil to keep it smooth. This helps prevent any white marks on your clothes.
✅ Reduce Deodorant Use Over Time – Each night, spray your underarms with a mix of equal parts water and apple cider vinegar. The scent fades within 10 minutes, and over time, you’ll need less deodorant.
✅ Shave Smart – If you shave, avoid applying deodorant immediately after. It can sting or cause redness, especially if you have sensitive skin. Instead, shave your underarms the night before.
Enjoy fresh, natural protection—all made by you!
